HA DeskLink
HA DeskLink brings the few things you really check during the day from the browser tab to the desktop, and feeds your computer's status back into your automations. Music Assistant is built in and can stream straight to this PC.

FAQ
No. Tray view, desktop widgets, sensors, notifications, entity control and Music Assistant all work without a browser. The embedded WebView dashboard is optional.
No. The app only connects to your own Home Assistant and Music Assistant instances on the local network. No cloud service, no telemetry, no account.
Nothing. Free software under GPL-3.0, source code public on GitHub.
Shorter to set up: HASS.Agent needs an MQTT broker and a separate HACS integration; HA DeskLink only needs your HA URL and a token. HASS.Agent is the more powerful toolbox, HA DeskLink the quick live view with widgets, Music Assistant and streaming built in.
Warum HA DeskLink?
For Home Assistant on the Windows desktop there are two common approaches, both with a weakness that shows at the workplace.
Gegen den Browser-Tab
The usual path: a tab with the Lovelace dashboard, permanently open.
Der Nachteil: the tab eats memory, hides behind other windows and offers no tray control.
HA DeskLink: Widgets sit on the desktop behind all windows (one set per monitor), sensors in the tray, lights and scenes switchable without a single browser window.
Against the companion app
Stark: mature and everywhere, on the phone that is.
Der Nachteil: there is none for the desktop. The PC's own sensors (CPU, RAM, disk, uptime) are missing in HA, and notifications arrive on the phone instead of the workplace.
HA DeskLink: turns the PC into an entity, streams Music Assistant to its speakers and delivers automations as native Windows notifications.
